A QUIET PLACE 2

 

I still remember watching the first part of quiet place franchise without erasing the hangover of 'don't  breathe'. 'Don't breathe' was released around the the same time when the former was released and it was an intriguing thriller from the word go. But the one thing which kept me going in this franchise was its stunning frames and character depths. Apparently, the first part starts on a bleak note showcasing the apocalypse era post the disaster and moves forward from there. The thrill moments of chapter one reverberating still in my mind, I started to watch the much anticipated second part.

Second part starts as a prequel to the the first half, which was exciting to watch and derives the story line from there. Comparing to the previous version, this one has more mind boggling scenarios, with the lead child artists growing up, there were given responsible mature roles. Even though predictable at parts, you tend to be in the silence which the film induces for most part of the ride. Every time when there is a silence breaker, more intriguing the scene.

Having watched numerous thrillers, this franchise hooks me in its screenplay. Keeping in mind the magnificent cinematography and sound effects, 'a quiet place 2' is a great watch which you shouldn't  miss on big screens (or even in your streaming platform).
