FEAR STREET TRILOGY

 

Fear Street Trilogy is an out and out game changer for Netflix. Three movies which has been released in three weeks bagged an astonishing amount of viewers. We have seen several movies in the slasher genre, but fear street comes up with an out of the box narrative storytelling which differs from their counterparts. There is something interesting on how the story really blends in, you have the reverse story telling pattern where in you go to to the origin of the things and reveals how all of it is unveiled in the final part.

First part starts off as a comic slasher and develops into something intriguing which leaves us to the second part. The main differentiative element has to be the screenplay which was written in an unstereotypical manner which keeps the viewers guessing through out the run time of the movie. Fear street trilogy is one of those Netflix packages which justifies the initial hype which is naturally attached to any movie/series which comes out of Netflix.

An other added dimension which requires an extra credit is the art department. The way each generations were portrayed was special, even though the 1st and 2nd part was half baked, the presentation of third part was spine chilling. The revealing sequence is built up on a great platform in which all the characters of the previous versions chips in with some spectacular performances.

Fear Street Trilogy is something which is not to be missed considering the coolness of the slasher genre and how the former genre is improvised to a great extend !
