prologue
As the release of the film was only restricted to certain areas of the country,I got a chance to witness this experience on the second week after the main release (ie. 10th march 2017).[Still wondering when these malayalam film industries will give a wide INDIA release when there are a finite number of mallus distributed to different parts of the country.?]
As usual expectations were quite high[OHH ..COME ON.,LJP known for his swashbuckling ,out of the box, creative flicks will not merely disappoint an ordinary film goer in terms of theatrical visual experience at least.!] even though his last venture DOUBLE BARREL was an EPIC BIG BUDGET DISASTER--and that defines the craftsmanship of LJP.

Storytelling is an art !
And narration plays a big part in the former !
The story revolves around the main character of the film (Vincent Pepe) and situational instances that follows him .From the 1st frame onwards director takes you into the depth and heart of angamaly by visualising almost all the hotels,streets,foods --and gradually making you a ANGAMALIAN after 10 min on the drought of the movie.
Casting had played a big role in the movie as you can see every newcomer is pretty much comfortable on the screen.Film goes around around different instances which the main gang is facing and at many times you will come to feel that YOU ARE ONE OF THEM. Screenplay and dialogues are gripping as they will hold you in your seats.Many times you can feel a natural kind of flow in the movie where every actor is given their own screen space and the streets are shooted in a realistic manner .
LJP known for his long shots [ which can be seen in a 3 min song sequence in AMEN , was the 1st time something like that happened in malayalam film industry i think so.! ]
has come up with a tremendous effort in pulling out one of the most visually sound enigmatic climax which has ever happened in malayalam.This 11 minute single shot was what every audience were looking for which includes almost 100 actors giving their sen percent .[Still many viewers has not recognized this single shot and that obviously defines how this shot has been taken without obstructing the flow of the viewers.!]

ANGAMALY DIARIES can be marked as a breakthrough in malayalam film industry in terms of innovative film making and will serve as a copy book to many more new directors who are on the way. KUDOS to the cast and crew !. .[Without out taking anything out of this effort ,hats off to LJP (because that doesn't happen in every industry --86 new faces , literally there will be a brain fade !)

If the film goer in you is someone who loves watching a fair hero going behind an even fairer heroine , beautiful songs intervening , stereotyped dialogues ,predictable story line with unpredictable twists here and there,..OHH...THEN PLEASE MOVE OFF...THIS MAY NOT BE YOUR CUP OF TEA.!!!
