JOSEPH
An Intense Thriller
Joseph is a film which stays true to its genre. There are certain films which stands apart from the new gen waves and this is certainly one of them. The film unfolds in a slowly manner which gives depth to each of its characters. M. Padmakumar, who was quite often crucified for the pace of the film and his making in the past, this time gets it right in the making - but he tries to hold on to pace of the movie and that's where the beauty of Joseph lies in. This slowness is well accompanied by its beautiful songs. I have never seen such an astonishing album recently which glues to the film accordingly.
There are very less bunch of actors, but the casting has been picture perfect, and you can see Joju delivering his career best performance over here. Each and every shade of his character has been rightly mapped for him. What seems to be open and shut case unveils into a mystery thriller and Padmakumar has made it a bit intense at the end which is where the main crust of the film lies in.
Joseph will be marked as one of the gems in Padmakumar's filmography and a feather is Joju's crown as well. It will certainly satisfy any of the film goers apart from the genre they are into watching - and that's were Padmakumar has succeeded. Joseph is an enthralling experience which is not to be missed at any cost.
