WHEN THEY SEE US
When they see us is an intense drama series set in the backdrop of a female assault. A group of teenagers accused of the above events and the official procedures following the former confines the rest of the storyline. Inspired from a real event, the whole series is backed up by a strong leading cast and the film making is top-notch. This one is a miniseries with a span of 4 episodes, which each episode carrying a run time of one hour.
The team behind the drama makes the right impact by showing us the obscene elements of a court trial in an intriguing manner. Even though it is short of episodes, as a viewer you may feel a lag in the third episode, but as the events unfold, the ending makes sense to a large extend. By strongly opposing the whites in America, racism is the transparent layer which is overlayed in this series.
There are certain series which must be restricted to a single season or limited episodes as I am not a big fan of extending the ending by adding a cliff hanger and supporting it with another element from the previous seasons, which really doesn't make much sense to me.
Having said all this, When they see us is nothing short of drama and elegantly boiled down to four episodes, which will serve you a pleasing aroma.
What if all boys were created equal?
