HOME
Home came up in a flash without any promotions or drama as you see in several other Amazon Prime releases. I have seen this before when quality movies ('Mayanadhi','Traffic') come without much fuzz and they make a huge fuzz simply due to the word of mouth of the viewers. Rojin Thomas known for his debut movie 'Philips and Monkey Pen' delivers an other feel good movie into the plethora of feel good universe which the Malayalam film industry holds.
'Home' has to be one of the films which is very easy to watch, I mean characters are so natural and dialogues come straight out as you are talking in real life. Indrans who is capable of surprising us gives an astonishing performance over here which overrides the whole film itself. Srinath Bhasi, Naslen and Manju Pillai has characters which are strictly carved for the film. It is very difficult to construct a feel good film now a days as you come up with redundant predictable scenarios which you have seen in different movies. But the one thing which stands out here is the strong script. Even though it is a wafer thin plot, the cast is too good to do justice to the storyline.
There is this thing in some of the films where the message delivered by it seems to be outdated or quite common. But the way some of the films delivers what they want to say and when they want to say makes the film create a spark among viewers. Home creates that sort of spark in the climax, and when you remember most of the scenes and performances after you see a film, you know it is a great film. Home is really a great watch which is build on some exemplary characters and a one which is not to be missed if you are a movie buff.
