Pada
Pada is a bold statement. A film which revolves around a true incident which is pretty much unaware to the modern society. Pada brings back a reminiscence of a courageous unorthodox protest conducted by a group of four against the government of Kerala. What makes this movie watchable from the beginning is its talented casting. Apparenlty, film starts on a slow pace and gradually gains momentum and turns out to be tight paced thriller in the second half.
After watching this movie we couldn't stop lauding the makers of it. Pada is such a beautiful crafted film which has a strong plot along with some commanding dialogues which strikes the right node with the viewers. There is an unpredictable element in every scene which makes this film intriguing. We have seen films in recent times having an extended run time which sometimes harnesses the films but Pada is well made or rather perfectly trimmed to a run time of under two hours.
The climax of the film amalgamates the real time incidents which is great to watch but Pada ends with an open ended statement which haunts you post the film. Films also portrays how the government system could be tweaked accordingly to protect the political image of the ruling party. Time and time again Malayalam film industry comes up with these brilliant films coming from different genres, but still, these are all technically well made and is unique in one or other factor.
Pada is not your watchable flick, it hits you hard, or even harder!
