Ullozhukku

It is very depressing to see a movie like Ullozhukku not getting many footfalls in the bigscreen. An era where crafty films are hailed, Malayalam audience fails to recognize this masterpiece which will eventually fall into the category of underrated OTT films. What makes ullozhukku a must watch film is its tight script followed by a stellar performance from its lead cast. Yes, the plot is wafer thin, but the film scores on the emotional factor. Parvathy and Urvasi were tailor made for their roles which will go down as one of their best performances.

The tension between the characters are evidently captured in a meaningful manner. Adding to it, Sushin Shyam's BGM plays a major role in keeping the film moving. Rarely, we see films built on strong screenplay in Malayalam industry in the recent past and Ullozhukku is an odd one out here.

This film hasn't collected big crores in the box office or OTT, but still stands out due to its creative brilliance. Go for it as it shines even as an OTT watch!
