PETTA ...!

If there is one name that pressed me to watch the FDFS of Pettah, then it would be of Karthik Subbaraj. The innovation and improvisation ability which he brings onto his films is something which is worth mentioning. When the Superstar clubs up with one of the most talented director across the industry, you expect nothing short of a an outstanding cinematic experience and it happens so. Rajini, who has been going through a rough patch in his recent films badly needed something like Petta. Director and the entire crew was on the right knot from the scratch when they announced and marketed this film as an out and out mass movie without confusing the viewers what to expect from it.Well I haven't seen the previous two outings of Rajinikanth, so I exactly don't know the comparable elements to be fair.

Well coming to the insides, from the word go this is a Rajanikanth show. Even though with the presence of an excellent cast, all of them plays under the shadow of Super star. Be it be the dialogue delivery, the astounding bgm by Anirudh or in the exemplary camera works, everything suits as it is made for the Super star.

But the differential aspect of the film is how well they have have showcased different mannerisms and characters of Rajini which was missing in his recent films. You never notice any unnecessary mandatory Rajini mass scenes and it feels like every sequence is well placed. Even though the second half seems to drag a bit, the concluding punch has been quite satisfactory.

So its a festival for Rajini fans, a treat for non-Rajini fans and a complete mass entertainer as promised from the crew. So that's it as Rajini said the last punch dialogue ' Is this show enough guys' ? [ Petta bgm]
