1917

First of all, this is a film where the central plot revolves around a world war. Yes, now I can understand the reactions of almost everyone - oh here comes another war film just like another superhero movie! We can't strictly hide the fact that there is something pompous about a war movie. Big budgets, enigmatic locations, a stunning cast, enormous junior artists, an original storyline and much more.

Then, directors started thinking out of the box on how to conceive a war zoned movie differently, or in fact how to place them into the audiences. Apparently came ' Saving Private Ryan ', from a legendary director which was straight out of the blue.

Following the former footsteps, ' Dunkirk ' and ' Hacksaw Ridge ' got released which made an invincible impact in the mind of audiences.

And the recent addition to the lot is '1917', which some of the critics have evenly praised as one of the best films in 2019. Truthfully, this is an epic film in terms of the film - making as you can see this film is absolutely 2 -3 shots. The movie is all about saving a battalion from the enemy's hands where time plays as the opposing factor. There is this precise addition of natural frames even though the film is comprised of continuous shots. As I said in the beginning, you can't add much in the storyline as you have seen everything in this genre, but to come up with something of this unpredictability at this scale deserves thunderous applause.
