AAMIS

Aamis was critically acclaimed even though coming from a nonmainstream language (Assamese). Many critics referred this as a film that would blow every mind. The last time I watched a film out of compulsion was the Marathi film 'Sairat', which was quite a revelation and was eventually remade into Bollywood. Aamis silently starts as a gentle breeze which shows us a plain relation between two main characters and their hobby of eating delicious meats. The chemistry between leads is one thing that makes us glued to the screen.

I am not into explaining the storyline while I write reviews, because I feel it harnesses the watching factor of the audiences who haven't seen the film. Well, this factor comes true to this film as there is an unexpected turn around somewhere in the second half of this film which pretty much defines the whole plot.

The visuals of this film are stunning accompanied by some intriguing screenplay that defines aamis as a film that stands out from the ordinary. There are certain scenes in this film that can be described as horrifying or disturbing but considering the inner elements of this film, these can be neglected.

If you love films which are out of the box in any aspect, Aamis will definitely blow your mind.

How far would you go to feed your desire?
