ARTICLE 15
Article 15 deals with a relatively relevant theme amalgamated with some stunning cast. If you want to make a movie or to write a novel on one theme that doesn't lose it's shining, then it has to be the prevailing caste system in India. Ayushmann Khurrana suits perfectly into the role of the protagonist and delivers what is expected from his character. In fact, you may feel this film as a cliche one at the beginning, but over the course, it tends to fit into a rare breed of category.
In fact, the one thing which I liked the most in this film is how they portrayed the events as straight forward and to the point. Most of the movies touching these themes would show us obscene violence scenes to build up the intensity of the plot. Even the dialogues in this film are crisp, tidy and direct.
Article 15 has to be marked as a quality film considering the screenplay. Director has added every pinch of sarcasm while explaining the caste system without losing its fundamentalism. And at the ending, the film reminds you Article 15 is still a joke in India and our constitution is a mere textbook that is not meant to be followed for some classes.
