VIKRAM

Vikram is a complete entertainer. Kamalhassan marking a stupendous comeback after 4 years, that too in an action role with some real talent in the likes of Fahad, Vijay Sethupathy makes Vikram a complete treat. There are several things which works right for this film. Lokesh handling this star studded cast with an engaging script without undermining the importance of any character in this film is worth appreciating. Vikram never has any loose ends in its script and adding to that the performance of everyone in the film is top notch.

Even though the film runs long, the scenes are packed in such a way that you never actually predict how the upcoming scenes are going to be showcased. Cinematography handled by Girish Gangadaran deserves a huge applause for his creative work ( especially in the action sequences). Anirudh as we know is in his peak and what ever he touches turns into gold these days. The background songs and the transitions of the same between different scenes elevates the quality of the film to an other extend.

Lokesh has made good use of Kamal Hassan's mass appeal which we were missing for quite a long time. The interval scenes, climax and the anti climax scenes are one of the best when compared to commercial films in Tamil industry. Vikram may not be as convincing as Kaithi, but surely the entertainment factor is at par with his former film. Vikram is a great base for whatever sequel or prequel Lokesh is planning, and we are waiting to witness the same.
