CHUZHAL
Chuzhal tries to unveil a complex storyline which could have been a great psychological horror thriller if it was given the right treatment. Even a power packed performance from Jaffer Idukki in the second half couldn't save this half baked flick.
There are many ways to look at these sort of movies. First you built a storyline on a great thread and when it comes to the ending, the crew seems to be in a hurry to wrap it all down without giving much logical conclusions. All the efforts which you have made, all the hype which you have created goes in vain if the film doesn't end well. This happens to movies which are built on high budgets as well as to films which are made on a low setup irrespective of the enormous talent it holds behind the screen.
Chuzhal has a well made script, but the execution of the same doesn't match up to the former. It is really depressing to witness dozens of bad to average reviews for a debutant's experimental movie which would have gone either way, but some movies click some doesn't.
