THITTAM IRANDU

Thittam Irandu is that Tamil movie which starts on a rom-com mode, swiftly switches to a murder cum thriller mode and ends up in trailing the killer behind the murder. There is nothing new in the narrative or rather in the story line to almost three fourth of the film. Aishwarya Rajesh is the only saving grace of the film, but even Aishwarya is not up to the mark during the initial phases of the movie considering her performance scale.

Having said all the above drawbacks which could affect this kind of a movie, makers made the final punch intact where the last 30-45 minutes of this film is literally jaw dropping. Film deviates from the usual murder investigation story to an out of the box plot which certainly carries the film to the climax. Even though there are some portions where you could guess the predictability graph of each character, no way you are going to guess the plot twist.

Technical department doing a neat and tidy job in the second half makes this film an engaging one. Even though the second half was certainly intriguing, the climax was bit of a let down which lacked the initial momentum of the second half. 

Movies like 'Thittam irandu' needs a bigger audience pool and OTT platforms has been highly beneficial to the former movies. Tamil industry often produces experimental  flicks which amuses us each and every time with its cinematic brilliance, even though it is short on budget. 

Thittam Irandu is a film which brings a highly sensitive social message to the table, which has to be discussed in public forums. The emotional depth which is attached to the tail end of the film and an intriguing second half makes this one a great watch if you could neglect the minor technical glitches of the first half.
