FIR
FIR is a tightly paced thriller starring Vishnu Vishal which revolves around terrorism. Even though a movie based on terrorism may induce a bit of cliche thinking in everyone's mindset, but in fact FIR is decently made with a great first half and continues its good flow for majority of its run time. The movie almost keeps us glued till the final portions and there are some high voltage and thrilling scenes which makes this movie going.
So the suspense element of this film is revealed in the last 15 minutes and there is a bit of urgency and some lack of clarity in these scenes. Films like these often have a promising ending which serves justice to the whole movie. But after seeing this particular climax, I had more questions than conclusive answers.
Apart from the above drawback, FIR has a strong technical side. I don't remember a scene where I was bored through out the film. Vishnu Vishal delivers a mature performance and his script selection is far better than other mainstream actor/actresses.
FIR is a gripping watch, with a familiar story line conjoined with some fresh treatment, which never goes off beat barring a confusive yet a satisfying ending.
