A Thursday

On the lines of a stunning debut from Neeraj Pandey 'A Wednesday', here comes 'A Thursday', which can be assumed as a sequel as both the films are produced by Ronnie Screwvala. This film is a tightly paced thriller from the word go. Yami Gautam delivers an ecstatic performance which comes as a surprise from her in the lead role.

As we have seen many thrillers in these pattern in Indian film industry, A Thursday follows a similar line or even overly filmy when moving forward. Having termed it filmy, there is no such moment in the film where you may find boring. There are predictable cliche scenes and dramatic dialogues but the way in which it is portrayed deserves a special applause.

There is a strong message attached to this movie which is note worthy and ending seems to be a bit rushy as there is little time to grasp everything on a whole. There are interesting scenes in the movie but, it is like we have all seen this scenes before.

Even though the film is no where near to its predecessor, makers have stiched a story line which is compelling from the start to the end. There is a point in the film where you think, can all these happen in reality? But barring the minor flaws in the script, 'A Thursday' is an intriguing thriller which discusses a socially relevant subject with some decent performances from the cast.
